  3. Causes of death • By October 2010, 576 participants still were alive • 1746 participants have dead 2011-02-15

  4. Hospital visits • 74 individuals have never been at the hospital • 46% off them are still alive26% died over age of 65 • From remaining 2248 participants only 24% are still alive • They all together have visited hospital more than 23 000 times and have spent there over 200 000 days 2011-02-15

  7. Genetic Analyses • First genetic study published in 1997 • Over 4000 individual SNPs genotyped 2003 - 2010 • In 2010 1221 individuals were genotyped for ~180 000 SNPs using MetaboChip • In 2010 110 individuals were genotyped using Illumina 1M chip 2011-02-15

Research activity • At least 50 researchers have been working with ULSAM data under last three years • Over 150 research proposals have been approved by ICTUS group from 2002 • At least 220 articles have been published from ULSAM initiation in 1970 • 27 doctoral theses have been defended 2011-02-15
