Using the Four Planning Horizons model, the NFPA has developed a strategic plan to position itself strategically in the future. The plan includes assumptions, long-term goals, strategic objectives, and action plans.
E N D
Using the Four Planning Horizon’s model as a framework, NFPA leaders involved in the process created the following: • A set of assumptions about the future of NFPA and the larger paralegal profession; • A list of relevant factors in the long-range horizon (10-20 years into the future), core purpose, core values, Big Audacious Goal (B.A.G.) and a vivid description of future success; • A set of mega issues – critical questions that will need to be answered in order for NFPA to position itself strategically in the future; • Four goal areas that identify where the NFPA will direct its energy in the next several years. The goal areas focus on outcomes beneficial to NFPA and its members. • A set of strategic objectives in each goal area setting measurable direction for the organization to head in to achieve its goals. • A set of strategies that identify the actions the organization will undertake in the next 1-3 years in order to achieve each goal area. • A set of Action Plans that identify the steps NFPA leadership and staff will need to take in order to implement the strategic plan (included in separate document).
