Why the workshop? • The aim of this workshop is to advance action and awareness on climate change adaptation in the Baltic Sea Region. • It will address problems and priorities in integrating adaptation measures at local (1) and Baltic/transnational levels (2). • A participatory approach is proposed, involving decision-makers, planners and researchers from the Baltic Sea Region. • The results of this workshop will be used to develop policy recommendations for the Baltic Sea Region under the INTERREG IIIB ASTRA project.
The key questions: • Who is affected by climate change and which effects are relevant? • Which adaptation measures are available? (Some sub-questions will follow, please see hand-outs)
