  1. Photo Assignment • You are to take photographs of various patterns and textures. • They are to come from a variety of sources, to include, fabric, façade, and faux finish. • Be creative, you have a kitchen and closet full of stuff…look for the unique, the varied, the possibilities of the otherwise mundane. (crinkled paper bag, dog fur, etc.) • You are also to choose 4 artworks from well know artist. They cannot be digital in origin. They can be paintings, sculptures and drawings. Art to Art • In this project, you will learn the basic capabilities of Adobe Photoshop to alter and combine historical master art works into an original and personally expressive visual image. • You will learn to replicate several images of the artwork into original and personally expressive clip art images. • Combining these two skills will give you experience in using your latest skills of draping, removing background, mastering the lasso tool, and reacquaint you to previous tools you have used from earlier lessons. • The challenge level is high and this will take focus and mastery to accomplish a unique image. • You will have four classes to complete this and a final critique on April 1st and 2nd. • Work outside of class is expected and required.
