Preparing for the Move • The following brief tips will help you, to help others prepare to move
Labelling Golden Rule for labelling NO LABEL - NO MOVE • If an item is left behind and it does not have a label on you will only have yourself to blame!
Labelling • This is the way a typical label should be laid out. EDE’S Black Bill Tiernan Position A 60
Labelling • The colour of the label indicates the delivery floor area • The first number takes the item to the correct position • The second box is for name or other information
Crates • Crates should be separated from stack before packing • Do not pack Crates on your desk. • Stack loaded Crates in 3’s or 4’s.
Crates • Do not load the crate so that it is too heavy to pick it up yourself. • Always place the label on the short end in in the right corner. • Do not place the label on the lid, in the crate or on the long side.
PACKING • Where possible who packs – unpacks • Edes will undertake Bulk Filing (Books etc) • A Label with destination number given to cupboard and /or shelf. • An Identical label placed on left hand end of crate • Files taken from shelf and loaded into crate from left to right.
