Description China’s OnePlus has once again released a new smartphone called the OnePlus 7T Pro, the successor to the OnePlus 7T and the latest phone in the T series line. This is not a huge upgrade but considering the price point, it was definitely launched to compete with the higher end smartphones. The 7T Pro is pretty much very similar to the 7T with only minor changes here and there. The people who have reviewed the phone have argued that the Pro version of the phone is not so much of the pro. Other than that, the phone is equipped with a latest and upgraded processor and a new look and finish to the body. The Phone was released in the 11thof October this year (2019).
Design Like discussed earlier, the phone is very similar looking to its predecessor the 7T with only minor tweaks. The specs for the design are very much similar to the 7T. The specifications for the 7T Pro are as 75.9mm x 8.8mm x 162.6mm for the width, weight and height respectively. The phone weighs around 206 grams. OnePlus decided to go with a notch-less design for the 7T Pro for a bezel-less display. Due to this the camera does not exist in the front of the phone, instead the camera pops up from the top of the phones. The rear cameras are set up vertically in the middle in which is a triple camera combo. The power button is on the right side and the volume keys are on the left of the phone. On the bottom are the loudspeakers and a Type-C port but no headphone jack. The OnePlus 7T Pro has an all glass body so it supports wireless charging. The phone is not too glossy and comes in a Haze blue and the McLaren Edition.
Display The aspect ratio is at about 19.5:9. One of the biggest changes that the OnePlus product consumers wanted to see was the notch-less display. So, OnePlus being one of the flagship killer company that it is, has decide to ditch the notch, meaning the OnePlus 7T Pro does not have any notch for the camera and the speakers in the front. The front speakers are neatly tucked in the top part of the display and front camera pops up from the top. The screen size is a very large to be 6.6 inches and the screen resolution is 1440 x 3120 pixels. The size covered by the screen in front of the phone is at about 88.3%. One of the newest additions to the display is the in-display fingerprint sensor which senses fingerprints by shining light on the display.
Cameras The major change that the OnePlus has decided to add in the new 7T Pro is for the rear camera. The rear camera sports a three-camera lens setup set up vertically in the middle in the back. The main camera sensor is an Exmor-RS. The main camera is a combo of a one standard F1.6 48 MP camera, an F2.4 8 MP telephoto lens with a 3x optical zoom and an F2.2 16 MP ultrawide lens which is said to capture much wider shots. Two of the lenses have PDAF and Laser Autofocus and optical image stabilization and 16 MP lens has a standard AF. The image resolutions produced from this camera is 8000 x x6000 pixels. The rear camera can shoot videos at 2160p@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps and 720p@960fps. The Front camera is a motorized pop-up that activates when the front camera is activated. The front camera is a F2.0 16 MP wide lens camera. The lens has Auto- HDR. It can shoot videos up to 1080p at 30fps.
