How to improve written work Check verb formations very carefully (Use the “Verb Tense Guide”) Check adjectives agreements – m, f, pl – and position Add intensifiers / adverbs Use more connectives Include more detail, e.g.: using “qui” (subordinate clauses) Avoid too many “new” ideas and concepts – don’t be over-ambitious Use more opinions Justify these opinions – Think: “Could someone ask why?” Read your sentences back to yourself and translate them into English. Do they make sense? Check word order? Is it interesting to read or too “pedestrian”? Use fancy stuff – direct object pronoun; ceque; comparatives (plus...) etc
