Directions • Click through each slide • Go to the websites you are directed to • Follow all directions • You will be asked to use your cell phone to text in poll answers. There are no charges associated with this. • If you do NOT have a cell phone then use the website listed to answer each question
Homework that is due today • You were told to ask your parent/guardian who they are voting for and why • Get out this information • Move to the next slide
Research 1 • Go to the website “ISideWith.com” • Click on “Try It Now” on the top of the page • Read and answer each question • If you want to take it a step further, mark how important that issue is using the left hand slider by each question • Click on “Show My Results” • Look for Barack Obama and Mitt Romney on the list of your results • Go to the next slide
Research 2 • Go to the website “OntheIssues.org” • Click on the button “2012 Presidential VoteMatch Quiz” • Scroll down the page review the issues, but NOT answering any questions yet. • If you are unsure what an issue is, click on the issue • Go to the next slide
Research 2 • Now go through the website “OntheIssues.org” and answer each question • Click on “Score the Quiz!” at the bottom of the page • Scan your VoteMatch results • Look Obama and Romney. • Identify which candidate you had a higher percentage for • Go to the next slide
Research 3 • Go to the website “Votesmart.org” • Click on “Vote Easy” (It is on the left hand side, about the middle of the page) • The major issues are lined up along the top of the screen • Starting on the left hand side, click on each issue. • Answer the question presented to you and how important that issue is to you • As you answer each question it will say which candidate you line up with the most • After going through and answering the questions about the issues it will say which candidate you match with the most by indicating “Best Match” above it • Go to the next slide
