  4. Bacon is made in several parts of the U.S. Bacon is made in several New England states. New England Bacon is also made in states considered the Upper South. These states include Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Upper South Bacon is also made in the Ozarks, which are in southern Missouri, northwest Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
