Hasn’t been around all that often, at least not in the context of which we are speaking right now. An odd phrase, if you ask me. If someone is requesting to be your friend, I certainly hope you have met them first. Often this is not the case. Not very safe, but let’s just think about it in a “friend” context. How could you ever possibly become true “friends” with someone on Facebook? This is especially true if you have a lot of friends in your friends list (another new phrase). You might see an update now and then, but unless you troll, how much can you truly know about that person. You’re assuming they are telling the truth about themselves, but what is really stopping them from setting up a new identity and behind the 15 year-old girl from New York, there’s really a fat 43 year-old man from Oregon who never leaves his home? I mean, my son has a Facebook page for a stuffed animal. Funny. They post stupid comments, but it does make you question: Just how honest are people on Facebook? Zooming In

Full of moisture, they saturate the sky like bags full of wet cotton balls. The wind blows from the north, giving a normally beautiful, rainy day, an icy edge. It’s cold outside, and that changes everything. Life seems to still as people await the end of the rain, probably glancing out of the window every once in a while to check for one hopeful ray of sunshine. No such luck. We are in for the long haul.
