MathInstruction Grouping criteria included: Math achievement scores Fourth grade end of book test Basic facts Student attributes Both the total points and number of students determine the grouping.
MathInstruction All students will receive the same curriculum. In grades 3, 4, and 5, there are Academic I groups and Academic II groups. Each Academic I group is a heterogeneous mix. The difference between Academic I and Academic II is the pace and/or depth of the curriculum. Teachers will assess students and provide the instruction and enrichment/remediation as needed.
MathProcedures There will be minimal movement, if any, during the first nine weeks. When consideration is given to move from Academic II to Academic I, the student should be maintaining a 98% over a period of time. When a student in Academic I is not maintaining 85% in a marking period, movement to Academic II will be considered.

Bradford Woods Science Expo Opportunity for BWE parents and other community adults to share their knowledge and expertise in some area of science. Exhibits will be on display throughout the evening and may include slide shows, experiments, hands-on activities, lectures, visual displays, etc. Examples: • Weather • Motion • Adaptations of Organisms • Environmental Changes • Electronic Technology • Geology • Medicine Interested parents: Expo Registration Forms will be available closer to the date.

New Safety Procedures at Bradford Woods • All doors will remain locked 24 hours a day. • All schools will be receiving a video camera for the office staff to allow visitor entry at the main entrance. • Card swipes will be on other outside doors to allow staff access.
New Arrival Procedures Main Entrance Primary Entrance An assistant will be at the entrance at 8:50. Children walking or arriving by car will enter this door at 8:50. The door will be monitored the entire time by the assigned staff member. This door will never be unlocked. • When students arrive by bus, they will enter the main door. If they arrive by car OR walk, they will enter the primary entrance. • There will be two adults in the entrance –one at the outside entry door and one at the inside office hall door by the red line.
Dismissal Procedures Walkers and Pick-ups • Students will line up in the Rainbow Hall. • They will be monitored by a staff member. • Students may enter through the library OR from the LGI end of the hallway. • The “A” bus proctor will sign-out each child. • The “A” bus proctor or the other staff member will remain at the door to the Rainbow Hall OR the door will be kept closed.
After School Programs • Since all doors to the building will be locked, parents should wait outside. • Students with an activity on the stage, in the gym, or in the cafeteria will be dismissed through the gym door. • All other students will be dismissed through the main entrance.
All Visitors All visitors entering the building must sign in at the office.
