  2. Status Bar in Notepad • Open notepad and type a document or file • Click on view menu • Select status bar to display the status bar in bottom of the notepad • Change the cursor position • Status bar display current cursor position (line and column no’s)

  3. MS-Paint • MS-Paint is a primary drawing or graphic designing software in windows • Opening a paint • Click on start button • Select all programs • Select accessories • Click on paint

  4. Create a drawing in Paint • Open paint • Click on file menu • Click on new menu item (default activated) • Using tool in a tool box and/ or color in a color box create a drawing on sheet • Using save in file menu you can save the paint file Paint file extension is .bmp Also you can give other file extension such as .jpg or .gif

  5. Page Setup, Print Preview and Print • Open a drawing file in paint • Using page setup in file you can change the page setting properties • Using print preview in file you can see the preview before the printing process • Using print in file you can change the print properties and printing the file

  6. Paste From • Open a drawing file in paint • Click on edit menu • Click on paste from menu item • Browse the pasting file and click on open button

  7. View menu • View menu in paint can use to • Select or cancel the • Tool box • Color box • Status bar • Change the zoom • Normal size • Large size • Custom size • View bitmap image in full screen

  8. Flip and Rotate • Open a drawing file in paint • Click on image menu • Click on flip/rotate menu item • Select flip horizontally, flip vertically or rotate by angle and the degree of angle • Click on ok button

  9. Stretch and Screw • Open a drawing file in paint • Click on image menu • Click on stretch/ screw menu item • Select stretch percentage and screw angle in degree • Click on ok button

  10. Print Screen Key • Print screen key in key board can use to print the screen display • Press print screen key • Open the paint • Click on edit menu • Click on paste menu item

Finding the Files and Folders • Click on start button • Click on search menu item • Click on all file and folders • Type file name • *.txt – all files in .txt extension • *s.txt – file name consist of any no of any characters in beginning but ending charater is s and the file extension is .txt • ?s.txt – file name consist of two characters and first character can be any character but second character must s and file extension is .txtx • Select location in look in option • Click on search button

  12. Help and Support • Click on start button • Click on help and support menu item • Help and support window can use to getting help, support , learning and exploring the windows operating system
