Also it’s the most populat instrument in Hindustani ( north Indian) classical music. Sarod strings are either made of steel or phosphor bronze. The instruments have played a key role in the musical development of many of the major civilizations. It produces a sound that is somewhat weightier, deeper and more resonant.
