1H(d,pp)n Measurement at 130 MeVWhy Do We Measure Analyzing Powers? • A few times more additional data points (supplementing cross sections) • Potentially stronger sensitivity to small ingredients(sums of interfering amplitudes) • Small Coulomb effects - it can be easier to trace 3NF! • Data measured for elastic scattering process in the similar range of energies show that analyzing powers are more "troublesome" than cross section - problems with spin part of interaction? • In order to reach meaningfulconclusions about the interaction models precise data inlarge phase space regions are needed Elżbieta Stephan, University of Silesia, FB19, Bonn 2009

Investigations of 3N/4N continuumSummary • Rich set of high precision cross sections and analyzing powers data: • Data atEd = 130 MeV supplemented with results for forward proton angles (GeWall@COSY) • Complete set for Ed = 100 MeV (BINA) • Measurements for pd systems at 180 and 135 MeV (BINA) • Developments in theoretical calculations for 3N system (3N force, Coulomb interaction, relativistic effects, higher order in ChPT …) • Studies of breakup processes in dd system (BINA) at 130 MeV Elżbieta Stephan, University of Silesia, FB19, Bonn 2009
Studies of the possible sources of systematic effects: • Determination of proton emmission angles • Control over geometry - kinematics of the elastic scattering process. • Phase of j – asymmetry distributions for elastic scattering, uncertainty below 0.5o. • Uncertainty of polarization determination • well under control, systematic error of about 3 %. • General consistency of the data – • do they fulfill constrains of parity conservation?
