CAT OBJECTIVES • To provide the PCV with a tool to develop more formal and professional relationships within their community and local institutions • To provide the PCV with professional development skills in the design, methods, analysis and needs assessments in the international development setting
Today’s Session Objectives:By the end of the session, the Trainees will be able to: • Identify and discuss the methodologies of CAT • Define, describe and implement a baseline study • Understand the format of the Community Diagnostic Report • Recognize and discuss attitudes that are considered necessary to be successful in implementing the CAT
BASELINE STUDIES use a range of methods to establish a starting point for projects. They provide valuable social and economic information which is critical to project decision-making and predict impacts.
So, with the proper knowledge, skills and attitude regarding Community Assessment, you could be aBIG-CAT VOLUNTEER!!!
