  5. The Command • And do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; • Ephesians 5:11 (NASB)

  6. The Reason • …for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. • Ephesians 5:12 (NASB)

  7. The Explanation • But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. • Ephesians 5:13 (NASB)

  9. Just as light silently reveals all things for what they really are; so it is when God’s people “model” purity and love in relationships – they expose sexual immorality for what it really is . . . lustful, destructive, self-worship.
