  3. WHAT THE CATAPULLET DOES CATAPULLET THROWS A PING PONG BALL IT IS POWERED BY A RUBBER BAND THE TRIGGER RELEASES THE ARM A RATCHET HOLDS THE THROWING ARM UNDER TENSION

  4. HOW TO MAKE ONE • THERE IS A FILM WITH STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS SHOWING HOW TO EDIT THE ‘BASIC’ CATAPULT • YOU CAN FOLLOW THE FILMS TO CREATE YOUR OWN CUSTOM DESIGN

  5. TESTING BEFORE CUTTING ALL PIECES IN 2D DESIGNER ARE LAID OUT ON A GRID SO YOU CAN LINE PARTS UP TO MAKE SURE THEY FIT TOGETHER

  6. DESIGN TIPS 1: • KEEP THE FEET WIDE TO GIVE THE CATAPULT STABILITY

  7. DESIGN TIPS 2: DON’T ALTER THE TRIGGER DESIGN TOO MUCH OR IT WILL NOT HOLD IN POSITION

  8. DESIGN TIPS 3: THE RATCHET MECHANISM / TEETH ARE BEST LEFT UNCHANGED

  9. DESIGN TIPS 4: THE CURVES ON THE HEAD HOLD THE PING PONG BALL PERFECTLY

  10. DESIGN TIPS 5: TEST YOUR DESIGN TO MAKE SURE PIECES DON’T HIT EACH OTHER WHEN USING THE CATAPULT

  11. DESIGN TIPS 6: LEAVE THE BOLT HOLES EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE ITS TRICKY TO MOVE THEM AND STILL MAKE THE CATAPULT WORK CORRECTLY

  12. DESIGN TIPS 7: ONE GOOD RUBBER BAND WORKS BEST, AND DOESN’T SNAP THE ARM WHEN YOU FIRE IT !
