Richmond upon Thames and alcohol • Public open space – 2 royal parks; Richmond and Twickenham Greens; riverside areas. • Visitor attractions include Hampton Court, Kew Gardens and National Archives • Twickenham Stadium (RFU) 82000 people at internationals and cup finals. • Harlequins Rugby Union and League ground, London Scottish & London Welsh RUFCs Tourism and visitors contribute massively to local economy.

Review of CDZs June 2009 • Problems due to changes in police recording • New recording standards May 2008 • 2008/9 – 278 alcohol related stops (both CDZ and S27 Violent Crime Reduction Act outside the zones. • 86% Richmond; 2% Twickenham • 76% of stops resulted in alcohol being confiscated • 7 arrests
