White Bear Lake Cleanup DayMarch 9, 2013 Come and take part in a group Boy Scout service opportunity that will benefit all who enjoy beautiful White Bear Lake. As an act of fellowship, cooperation, and community service, Boy Scout Troops from throughout the area will partner with the White Bear Lake Conservation District and other community volunteers to pick up trash on frozen White Bear Lake before the spring thaw drops the garbage into the lake. Who: Boy Scouts from the communities around White Bear Lake. When: Saturday, March 9. 10AM–12:15PM. Where: Meet at Bellaire Beach. Bring: Wear appropriate cold-weather clothes, bring a water bottle & something to chop out trash frozen into the ice. Garbage bags will be provided. What to Expect: We’ll start with some opening comments, then we will disperse onto the frozen lake to pick up trash. Return to Bellaire beach by Noon to enjoy (free) lunch provided by the VFW. Note to Troop Leadership: While this is a coordinated effort, each Troop should provide a leader who will have access to health forms & emergency information (if needed).
