Ba Dinh Square is located in the city center, 320 m long and nearly 100 m wide, and can accommodate 200,000 people. It is a gathering place for the people of Hanoi. 巴亭廣場位於市中心,長320米,寬近100米,可容納 20 萬人,是河內人民集會的場所。

Walk to One Pillar Pagoda 步往 一柱廟
The One Pillar Pagoda got its name from the fact that it was built on a large stone pillar in the pool. 一柱廟 因建造在水池中一根大石柱上 而得名。
The one-pillar temple is a wooden structure symbolizing aLotus stretching out water, and the four sides of the eaves are slightly raised into petals. The stone pillar symbolizes the flower stalk, with a diameter of 1.25 m and a height of 4 m. The wooden supports around the stone pillar resemble flowers. 一柱廟為木結構象徵一朵出水蓮花,屋檐四邊微翹成花瓣狀。石柱象徵花梗,直徑1.25米,高4米,石柱四周的木支架就像花朵。
The One Pillar Pagoda has a unique shape and is a symbol of Hanoi despite its small appearance. 一柱廟造型獨特,外型雖小,是河內的一個象徵。
Notice on pagoda side door: Wearing short is not allowed. 寺廟側門告示:穿短衣服不許入內。
The official name of One Pillar Pagoda is Yanyou Temple, mainly worships Guanyin. 一柱廟 正式名稱 延祐寺,主要祀奉觀音。
