Comments about Motorpool – Phnom Penh State/ICASS • Status of vehicle and driver requests are confirmed when reservations are made, are posted on a board in the motorpool and may be confirmed telephonically when desired. • It would be a good thing for the Motorpool to notify their customers that the request has been received and will be provided. • We do not use the motorpool. OBO has their own vehicle. • I have my own DAO vehicles/drivers. • Our dispatcher is extremely helpful, responsive and efficient in providing support for our many, many TDYers. • DAO does not use State motorpool assets
Comments about Motorpool – Phnom Penh USAID • USAID has its own motorpool, and, quite frankly, ours is WAY better. When SECSTATE POWELL came here it was the USAID motorpool that did the dispatching and continued with their excellent performance. • The USAID motorpool staff are great. On time.....courteous and efficient. One of the best I've seen.

Comments about Property Management – Phnom Penh State/ICASS • Service is usually completed within 24 hours at the most, but it would be nice if GSO could advise status of the requests. • Maintenance for homes is responsive and efficient. They do a wonderful job.
Comments about Property Management – Phnom Penh USAID • Again USAID is separate. • I am not sure if the Mission has written policies on residential furniture and appliances. I understand that one cannot have more than 1 queen size bed, and not more than 6 air conditioners in one residence but I have not seen where these policies are.

Comments about Residential Maintenance – Phnom Penh State/ICASS • There are too many work orders for the GSO section to keep people informed of the status of their requests. However, there isn't much of a delay and I'm happy with the service.

Comments about Leasing – Phnom Penh State/ICASS • This Post has one of the best, most professionally run GSO's I've come across in the last 4 years. The GSO truly cares about the people and their personal housing needs. • I am the JO with the 2 story house, no balcony, no yard, that needs a big wall between the neighboring building to provide adequate security. The other JO has a 3 story house, large yard, rooftop garden • Great support
Comments about Leasing – Phnom Penh USAID • USAID rents its own places...and, has smaller places, WHICH IS FINE> the state houses are all GIGANTIC. WAY TOO BIG for the people in them. They waste money - especially on electricity. • I think that my residence is not of the appropriate size and layout for my family. I am a TCN with a family of 5 and we've been staying for about 4 1/2 years in a leased residence with 5 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms.
