Vocabulary Words • Synonyms- • words with similar meanings • example: • woe, despair, agony
sustain • to keep or support • Example: • His encouragement helped sustain her spirits.
overblown • unusually large; overdone or exaggerated • Example • How did this trivial matter get overblown?
encroach • advance beyond proper limits • Example: • My neighbor’s bushes will encroach on my yard.
feasible • able to be accomplished, practical • Example: • An attainable goal is a feasible goal.
mutually • reciprocally or equally • Example: • They mutually agreed on a fair price.
disagreeable • unpleasant or unenjoyable • Example: • The disagreeable odor was very unpleasant.
butte • isolated hill with steep sides and a flat top • Example: • The steep butte stood alone in the desert.
dehydrated • lacking water or moisture • Example: • I was dehydrated and needed water to drink.
euphonium • brass instrument resembling a tuba • Example: • A euphonium looks like a tuba.
gyrate • to move in a circle around a fixed point • Example: • I gyrate the hula hoop on my hips.
