Electives • Students are required to select 4 electives in the event one of their electives aren’t available.

Parent involvement • Parents will need to sign the course advisement form. • All forms should be returned to your child’s counselor by January 16th.
Support Programs • Tutoring – Each subject area has a tutoring schedule. • “No Zero Policy” – Teachers recommend students that have zeros to stay after school on Friday to make up assignments. • Saturday School Tutoring • Small group guidance • RTI/SST • Teacher/Parent Collaboration

General Information • There are two “final” grading periods • Progress reports are sent home at 4.5 weeks, 9 weeks, and 13.5 weeks • Report cards are sent home at the end of each 18 weeks. (These are final course grades.)
Promotion requirements To be promoted to 9th grade • You must pass 5 of 6 classes (using the end of year average). • Pass reading and math sections of the CRCT To be promoted to the 10th grade • You must pass 10 classes = 5 units • 3 of the 5 units must be in core areas • (English, math, science, social studies, world languages)Each time you fail a course, you place yourself at risk of not graduating on time.
Graduation Policy • ** Students must pass all EOCT tests to meet graduation requirements. • ** There is one diploma type for all students • ** All students are required to complete a total of 23 units: • 4 units of English/Language Arts • 4 units of Science • 4 units of Math • 3 units of Social Studies • At least 3 units required from: Foreign Language and/or CTAE and/or Fine Arts for all students • At least 4 additional electives • 1 Health/Physical Education course or 3 years of JROTC
