Biography The group was formed by many unemployed. UB are the initials of Unemployment Benefit. UB40 is the name of one document to solicit the Benefit. The group arised in 1978 in a row of British Social Security and the name of the group was extracted from an imprint of unemployment fund. Their formation is multi racial and they sing in English, Jamaican, Irish, Scottishand stuff.
