!!! Important News Flash !!! CORDEX data will now be saved and made available through the Earth System Grid as used for CMIP5 The system will include a file/format compliancy checker run prior to data upload CORDEX is being built into the new ESG P2P release SMHI testing upload-broadcast-download of RCA4 CORDEX data. We will (hopefully) broadcast all our Africa-CORDEX simulations N. Hem. summer 2012
ESG-CORDEX efforts led by BADC, DKRZ and IPSL plus SMHI, NSC and DMI (EU FP7 is-ENES project) DKRZ (Ger), BADC (UK) & IPSL (Fr) will provide some ESG-CORDEX data archiving facilities in ~fall 2012 SMHI/NSC (Sweden), DMI (Denmark) in early 2013 UCT (Africa), IITM (India), KMA (Korea) hopefully 2013

Summary CORDEX simulations will now be stored through the ESG Over Africa RCMs have more ‘freedom’ to perform than in mid-latitudes (less constrained by boundaries) This means they can retain many of their positive and negative characteristics when driven by different GCMs SMHI Africa-CORDEX data will be available on the ESG summer 2012.
