OBJECTIVES (Teachers) • Upon completion of this activity, on powerpoint, students will be able to identify the characteristics of each ski and will demonstrate this acquired knowledge by correctly answering 10 out of 10 quiz questions. Further, upon completion, students will be able to identify which ski should best suit their skiing style.

BE SAFE • Make sure bindings and all removable parts of the ski are fastened down and secure.
USE FACTORY SETTINGS • Do not use your friend’s ski settings as your own when demoing a ski like his or hers. Start with the recommended factory settings.
FREE SKI FIRST • Do not go out and attempt to beat your personal best on the course your first time out on a new ski. Forget buoy counts, and just go out there and swerve around.
MAKE SMART ADJUSTMENTS • Get educated on fin adjustments. • Make small adjustments. • Record your adjustments exactly. • Record how you felt on the ski after each adjustment. • Be as descriptive as possible.
LETS REVIEW • Every skier has a different skiing style and prefers different qualities from his/her ski. • When demoing a ski, it is important to start from factory settings, and to adjust in small, concise increments.
