  9. Heart Rate HR Normal Range - Dog~70-160 bpm Cat~160-240 bpm • Health Assessment bpm = beats per minute

  10. Pulse Rate PR Normal Range - Dog~70-160 bpm Cat~160-240 bpm • Health Assessment bpm = beats per minute

  11. Respiratory Rate RR Normal Range - Dog~ 10-30 bpm Cat~20-30 bpm • Health Assessment bpm = breaths per minute

  12. Mucous Membrane Colour MM Normal Range - Dog = Salmon Pink Cat =Pale Pink • Health Assessment Abnormals include: Yellow (Jaundice), Blue (Cyanotic), White (Pallid),Brick Red, Brown, Pettichial (pin point Haemorrhages)

  13. Capillary Refill Time CRT Normal Range - Between 1 & 2 Seconds • Health Assessment NB - use ‘hippopotamus’ time

  14. Core Body Temperature ToC Normal Range - Dog~38- 39.3oC Cat~38-39.1oC • Health Assessment

  15. Hydration Status H2O Normal Range - Skin should return immediately • Health Assessment delayed return ~ dehydration
