  4. Press • the oldest way of distributing information • Issued daily, weekly, monthly, etc. • The Daily newspapers create two large groups: 1/ broadsheets (quality press) 2/ tabloids (popular press)

  5. Tabloids • a smaller newspaper format • tends to exaggerate sensational crime stories, gossip columns, deeply describes personal lives of celebrities and sports stars, • so-called "junk food news"

  6. the Broadsheets • large size • one daily broadsheet is distributed nationwide, and two on a Sunday
