  3. How can Talk of the Cruel Death of One Man be Good News? Tells us about the Righteousness of God- Romans 1:17 A Righteousness that allows sinners to be Saved through the Sacrifice of Jesus- Romans 3:21-26

The Cross Is The Fundamental Message 1 Corinthians 2:2 “I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” Does this mean Paul only spoke of the life and death of Jesus? You cannot separate Jesus from His doctrine – John 14:6 Doctrine taught by Jesus was Doctrine of God – John 7:16,17

  5. Why De-emphasize “Doctrine?” It allows each individual to select his Own Doctrine! The idea that there is just ONE TRUTH for everyone leaves them uncomfortable John 17:17 “God’s word is truth” “Just preach Christ & leave others alone” Preaching Christ means Preaching His Doctrine – Matthew 15:8,9

  10. Jesus is The Truth Truth Includes Man’s Moral responsibilities – Colossians 2:6,7; Romans 12:1,2 Preaching Christ Established Christians- Romans 16:25 It was given to the Apostles – John 16:12-15 Not cunningly devised fables – 2 Peter 1:16-21

Jesus is The Truth Came Straight from Christ – Galatians 1:11,12 It is the Word of Truth – 1 Thessalonians 2:13 It is the Gospel preached to Each Christian- 1 Peter 1:22-25 Declare whole counsel of God – Acts 20:24-27 Anything Less is NOT telling the world of Christ & the reason for His Suffering
