What’s Required • Better motivational (educational) strategies • Better Therapy • Ageing as a disease rather than inevitable • Sarcopaenia & Balance • Better Implementation • Better Integration • Social and Medical Care • Research & Clinical Practice • Improved Regulatory Framework • Inappropriate regulation is stifling (and may kill) innovation • Over-enthusiastic (profit-driven) monitoring by CROs – which may account for the majority of costs in a clinical trial

  4. Effect of (Unintegrated) Home Telemonitoring Mortality Need for a study of 3rd Generation Home Telemonitoring Fully Integrated into Routine Healthcare. Could recruit very quickly:- 6,000 patients from 8 hospitals in a year if it is done right Inglis et al 2010
