What Do We Mean ByWeb-Aware? • Web-aware means that your Switchvox PBX can be integrated with web applications. • Custom Switchboard panels send caller data to web applications, and show you the results before you even pick up the phone. • IVR tools let you pass data and sound files back and forth to web applications. • Sound-file exchanges are new in 4.0!

Fax Integration • Fax capabilities are new in 4.0, and include: • Send a fax created in any application: print to the Switchvox PBX and send! • Notifications for incoming faxes via email • Incoming Call Routes for faxes • One-stop mailbox for voicemail and faxes • Disk-space quotas per mailbox and groups
Video Integration • Video calling capability is new in 4.0, available for supported video phones • Supported codecs include H263 and H264 • Best advice for video calls: use the same phone on both ends!
Chat Integration • Chat capability is new in 4.0, available in the new Chat Panel on the Switchboard • You can also use your own XMPP chat client with your Switchvox PBX as your chat server • See presence and status details across multiple Switchvox PBXs
Advanced, Web-Aware IVR Tools • 4.0 includes many new tools for building custom IVR menus: • Upload a sound to a URL, and play a sound from a URL • Send a sound to a voicemail box • Store a sound in the Sound Manager • Merge sounds

Switchboard Additions • The 4.0 Switchboard has new Panels: • Chat Panel: encourage internal communication on your own private chat server • Multiple Phonebook Panels: organize your Phonebook entries into groups • Company Directory Panel: type-to-find lets you find someone quickly
Switchboard Enhancements • 4.0 improvements to existing Panels: • Presence is visible across Switchvox PBXs • Store additional numbers in a Phonebook entry (mobile, home, etc.), with permissions • New Presence settings (Available, Away, Extended-Away, Chatty, and Do Not Disturb)

Voicemail Enhancementsfor Administrators • 4.0 offers control over voicemail and fax usage • Voicemail/Fax mailbox quotas for users and groups; define how much disk space can be used • Administrative view of voicemail and fax usage (in megabytes)
Voicemail Enhancementsfor Users • 4.0 offers great voicemail customization • Customize multiple voicemail greetings for when you are ‘unavailable’ or ‘busy’ • Customize multiple email notifications (a short text message for your mobile phone, and a detailed message for your email) • Integrated IMAP server for unified voicemail (listen from your email account and the light on your phone goes off!)
Call-Queue Enhancements • 4.0 improves on call-queue capabilities: • Queue members can log in, log out, and pause their status in specific queues, and add a comment about their status • The Switchboard offers one-click status settings in each queue panel • Logging in/out/pause are available as events for the URL Manager
Switchvox Notifier: • 4.0 includes a new Windows desktop client: • A pop-up notification shows you incoming calls with a call history, and interacts with your Outlook contacts • Integration with Outlook lets you easily handle your voicemail, and add callers to your contacts • An integrated IMAP server turns Outlook into your Switchvox ‘Mailbox’
Switchvox Extend:an XML-based API • 4.0 includes Switchvox Extend, a new XML-based API that lets you access • Call logs • Call reports • Extension lists • We will continue to enhance Switchvox Extend with more capabilities
Bulk ExtensionManagement Tool • 4.0 makes it easier for an administrator to manage extensions: • Create extensions from a CSV file • Modify extensions from a CSV file • Administrators can use a variety of applications to create a ‘Comma Separated Values’ file
Phone Provisioningfor SNOM Phones Customers with SNOM phones can use Phone Provisioning in 4.0! Polycom Phones continue to be supported
BRI Support • Supports the B410P • Configured like any other card in Channel Admin • Major step toward International Switchvox sales
6-Digit Extensions • 4.0 includes 6-digit extensions • Extension length can now be set to 3, 4, 5, or 6 digits
Scheduled Reports 4.0 includes the ability to set up scheduled reports that specify: Duration of time to run, and how often to run What time-frame and data to include The type of output to deliver (HTML, XML, or a chart) Reports are emailed to you
