GOLDEN TIME Friday afternoon set aside in class Circle Time PLP discussions Golden Time
Reward children for behaving- focus on the positive Children suggest and choose golden time activities in advance so they are aware of the reward they are working to achieve. This will change to a trial of hosting activities across the stage after Christmas Holiday. Focus across whole school to achieve 5 mins of Golden Time each day by following the Golden Rules Friday Fun vs Golden Time
Following the rules will earn children house points 5 mins of Golden Time = 5 points for their house. Each class has a reward chart for individual points or group house points where children can receive bonus points for ‘extra’ individual achievements Each week points are added to the house total. Following pupil feedback, the winning house continues to receives House Award, however on monthly basis and with added option of a choice of area – as became clear that not all children enjoyed the MUGA as a reward. House Points
PLP targets can also be linked to Golden Rules Award extra bonus points using not only academic evidence but also adherence of Golden Rules across school life in achieving targets Use Friday Circle Time to enhance support for achieving targets and using rules to guide behaviour PLP Targets
