  7. 2007 IGRA President ReportTop 3 Priorities for 2008 • Priority 2: Diversification of Revenue The Future: Requests out to multiple sponsors, including beer sponsors Trustees taking increased responsibility IGRA Travel Store…percentage of commissions IGRA Merchandise Restructure IGRA on TV and Pod Casts IGRA Finals Merchandise Sales Local and National Sponsorships Year Long Recognition

  8. 2007 IGRA President ReportTop 3 Priorities for 2008 • Priority 3: Strategic re-alignment of Events • We need to look at ourselves, unemotionally and realize that from our spectators and public perspective, our 25 year old “show” is tired and in desperate need of a make-over.

  9. 2007 IGRA President ReportTop 3 Priorities for 2008 • Priority 3: Strategic Realignment of Events • Who wants to see what: • At the Rodeo: Family and Friends come to see contestants • At the Rodeo: Some come to see the competition • At the Rodeo: Some come as first timers/curiosity seekers • At the Rodeo: Most come to see cute men and women, connect and drink some beer maybe dance a bit (but not much) • Few come to see Grand Entry…still not so Grand

  10. 2007 IGRA President ReportTop 3 Priorities for 2008 • Priority 3: Strategic Realignment of Events • IGRA members care about and are invested in the Royalty Competition, the public not so much….. • Having our Royalty Competition on the same weekend as our Finals Rodeo, when we NEED the public to respond weekend is a mis-match of “ customer and content” and a critical missed opportunity

  11. 2007 IGRA President ReportTop 3 Priorities for 2008 • Priority 3: Strategic Realignment of Events • The Public may be interested in our Dance Competition • Many IGRA members are interested in our Dance Competition • Dance has struggled over the last several years to attract contestants and interest from the public • Having our Dance Competition on the same weekend as our Convention weekend weekend is at worst a mis-match of customer and content and at best a missed opportunity. • Dance could be educational, instructional and competitive and could be a draw at IGRA University

  12. 2007 IGRA President ReportTop 3 Priorities for 2008 • Priority 3: Strategic Realignment of Events • My strategic recommendation is to re-align : • Rodeo and Party, Party, Party ( Boy, Girl, Boy-Girl, RV, BBQ Evening, Music Bears meets Cowboys, ) • Convention and Royalty Competition • IGRA U and Dance Competition

  13. 2007 IGRA President ReportTop 3 Priorities for 2008 • Priority 3: Strategic Realignment of Events • Other things we can do…… • We need to partner with other community shows and events to provide a broader experience (pride, leather, expos ) • Continue to strive for operational efficiencies in Rodeo; Downtimes in the shows are reputation killers and ours is not good.

  14. 2007 IGRA President Report • Other Challenges Ahead: • Rodeo Congestion • Rodeo Operational Inefficiency

  15. 2007 IGRA President Report • 2007 has been a year of accomplishment • Time for everyone who care deeply about IGRA to support IGRA Finals 2008 in Denver and the transition in 2009 and beyond
