What is a sociogram? • A literary sociogram is a graphic organizer that represents the relationships among characters in a literary text.
REQUIREMENTS • Include Ralph, Jack, Simon, Piggy, Roger, hunters/choir, Littluns, Beast • Represent these characters visually/ symbolically • Place/connect them in a way that represents the relationship (or lack thereof) between them • Use size, space, and distance/proximity to add meaning
??Questions to ask yourself?? • Why is the character important? • Which character is the main character? • What is the connection and how should I represent this? • What abstract symbol can I use to portray the character? • What size do I want to make the character? • What role did they play in the story?
