LEMA Partners: UCLA, CSUN, UCLA Law School, SOUTHWESTERN Law School, CLAREMONT GRADUATE UNIVERSITY’S DRUCKER INSTITUTE, The CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS FOUNDATION, the law firms of TUCKER, ELLIS, WEST & GIRARDI-KEESE, the CONSUMER ATTORNEYS ASSOCIATION OF LOS ANGELES, The URBAN EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP (HUMANITAS), UNITE LA and The LOS ANGELES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

  3. School Management will include teachers, parents, students and community members.

  4. LEMA will pay students for success on state standardized tests, exemplary attendance and academic performance.

  5. All students will take a class in the law, because everyone needs to know the law.

  6. All students will take Media Arts and Film classes to give them the skills to succeed in 21st Century jobs.

  7. We will use a trimester calendar that will help students catch up, get intervention, or graduate ahead of schedule.

  8. We will provide community college classes at LEMA to give students high school credits and college units.

  9. We will use morning advisory periods to serve breakfast in class, provide intervention and mentoring for four years.

  10. We will create a LINK program to support students who go on to college for two years after graduation, with jobs tutoring LEMA and BRIDGE students and paid jobs, helping community-based businesses.

  11. We will build a BRIDGE program, between Middle and High school, to prepare students entering with the skills they need for high school, tutoring, mentoring and homework help.

  12. We will start a Night Court program on campus, supervised by our law firm partners. Our students can help plaintiffs and defendants fill out their forms, or translate documents and get work experience.

  13. For Service Learning requirements, our students can do four years of internships in local businesses, law firms, or government offices.

  14. We will merge Life Skills and Health courses with our advisory or online curriculum, so our students can take more electives.

  15. We will eliminate Professional Development (shortened) days on Tuesdays to increase student instructional time. Our PD will take place in the summer, during in-service days or Saturdays.

  16. LEMA students can continue to play sports and participate in extra-curricular activities at Lincoln High School

  17. Imagine how much harder your child will work at a school where students get paid to achieve. Imagine your child at LEMA
