LAST WILL & TESTAMENT • Heb 7:11-12Heb 7:11-12 • 11 Now if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood (for under it hath the people received the law), what further need (was there) that another priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be reckoned after the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. ASV
Heb 10:1-9 For the law having a shadow of the good (things) to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh. 2 Else would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those (sacrifices) there is a remembrance made of sins year by year. 4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me; 6 In whole burnt offerings and (sacrifices) for sin thou hadst no pleasure: 7 Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God. 8 Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and (sacrifices) for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (the which are offered according to the law), 9 then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. ASV
Heb 9:13-1713 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling them that have been defiled, sanctify unto the cleanness of the flesh: 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? • 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16 For where a testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him that made it. 17 For a testament is of force where there hath been death: for it doth never avail while he that made it liveth. ASV

Story of E. W. Marlin, once governor of Oklahoma and founder of Marland Oil Company., which later became Continental Oil Company. He made it big in the oil business, lived lavishly, owned the famous 101 Ranch in Osage County Oklahoma. He lost a lot of his wealth to New York investors when he overextended himself. He still owned a great deal of real estate. His wife died in 1925 and he married his adopted daughter. He left a will that provided for her but left the bulk of his estate to the community of Ponca City, where he lived, much of which was to be used to build a community center and library. • His heirs did not like being cut out so they took it to court and tried to overturn the decision. The judge ruled, that Mr. Marlin had met all the conditions of a person making a will and therefore it should stand as he requested
