  3. What is Manufacturing ? Definition 1 Manufacturing is derived from Latin word manu factus which means “made by hand”. Definition 2 Manufacturing is transformation of raw material into goods. Definition 3 Manufacturing is to plan and deploy an optimum way of transformation of raw material into goods by integration of people, capital, processes, systems and enterprises to deliver products of value to society.

  7. Opportunities in Machine Tool Industry A large percent of machine tools produced in India are CNC machine tools. There are many opportunities in machine tool Industries. There is an urgent need for designers and entrepreneurs in machine tool sector. Institute too gets frequent requests from industry for placement opportunities in these industries.
