Why Hawke’s Bay Netball • Giving Netball in Hawke’s Bay a strong identity • More easily recognised and marketable • Greater appeal to sponsors therefore increasing sponsorship income • Consolidated approach supported by funders • Reduction in volunteer hours • Linking into Come on the Bay branding • Collaboration to strengthen the sport
Governance • Provide leadership and stewardship to the organisation • 7 members- 3 elected by delegates, 4 appointed • Formal process involving an independent panel as per constitution • Selections based on specific criteria including: gender, age, geography, ethnicity and specific skill sets • Chairperson elected from within • Adhere to Constitution

Representative framework Aim: To have the province’s best age group talent in the one team, competing on a national level under the guidance of the best regional coaches and managers. Hawke’s Bay District Tournaments Year 6,7,8 Hawke’s Bay Rep Teams
Set up costs • Lawyers fees $ 2000 • (includes disestablishing, assets from all four centres) • Accountant fees $ 2000 • Incorporation registration fees $ 102.22 • Total $ 4102.22 • Contribution: 74 cents per member Centres will cover own expenses to liquidate. This may include but is not exclusive to costs for financial reports and audit .
Fees • 2013 fees will consist of four separate parts: • 1. Netball NZ fee • 2. Zone fee proposed • Both these fees will go out of the district • 3. HB Netball Fee • 4. Competition Fee • Running Hawke’s Bay Netball • Facility maintenance • Staff wages • Up-skilling opportunities • Running the competition • Rep programme
Fees Summary • All costs are proposed and will be put to the board for approval • Costs are per player • HB Fee is an annual fee • Estimated 10 per team therefore Zone and competition fee may change
