Dedicated Improvement and Reflection Time

Rewrite and improve pieces of work • Find out correct spellings • Write corrected spellings 10 times • Identify and correct grammatical errors • Respond (politely) to teachers comments and questions • Copy out neatly messy work • Write a comment about what you liked or disliked about a piece of work • Set yourself some targets for improvement • Compare your work with that of another pupil • Give an emotional response to pieces of work by drawing an emoticon • RAG each learning objective to see if you have achieved it • Re-draw stick men using the skills you have learnt in art • Underline all headings • Correct your own work which the teacher has not yet marked

  3. What is DIRT time? Dedicated Improvement and Reflection Time The objective is to see how and where we can improve our work to maximise our marks. You have (teacher defined) minutes in silence to add to your levelled work.
