City core – Tromostovje (by Jože Plečnik) Tromostovje are the three bridges that are situated next to the Prešeren square in the middle of Ljubljana. River Ljubljanica flows through the centre of the city.

Waters in Slovenia The longest river in Slovenia is Sava. There are two bigger lakes: Bled and Bohinj Photo: River Sava
Mountains Three mountain ranges: • Julian Alps, • Karavanke, • Kamniško savinjske Alpe. The highest mountain is Triglav, 2864m
About sixty percent of the country’s surface is covered by woods.
Natural sights Lake Bled is famous for its island and an old church on it. Triglav national park is located in Julian Alps.
Caves of the Karst: lime stone region in Slovenia full of caves and other Karst phenomena. Cerkno lake can be totally dry, with water in the underground, but it can also cause floods.
Slovenian coast line is 46km long and there are two big tourist cities: Koper (the biggest Slo port) Portorož (is the one of country’s largest touristic areas)
