Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh Born: 10.June.1921 as Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark. Family: his mother was Princess Alice of Battenberg. Father was Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark. He also had four elder sistersMargarita, Theodora, Cecilie, and Sophie.
Education Philip was first educated at an American school in Paris. In 1928, he was sent to the UK to attend Cheam School. In 1933, he was sent to SchuleSchloss Salem in Germany After the rise of Nazism in Germany, he went to Gordonstoun School in Scotland. Gordonstoun Scool in Scotland
Royal Navy and meeting Elizabeth After leaving Gordonstoun in 1939, Prince Philip joined the Royal Navy. Nextyear he graduated the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth. During the Second World War, he continued to serve in the British forces. In 1939, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth toured the Royal Naval College. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s wedding. In the summer of 1946, Philip asked the King for his daughter's hand in marriage.
