MY NEST A TECHNOLOGICAL OVERVIEW
NECKLACE Reason: • Hidden • Less like being tagged and branded (jail)
INITIALIZATION • Necklaces between “friends” communicate • QR codes on necklace – use phone to read it • Phone registers information and sends message /request to home computer • Request is accepted
INITIALIZATION • Button triggers RFID signal to phone (passive RFID) • “The RFID phone might be used by a engineer in the field checking a meter on a gas pipeline or other industrial equipment. The engineer would scan the tag attached to a meter to identify which meter was being read. The phone-reader would record the time of the read, and then the engineer could key in the meter reading into the phone using the buttons on the phone. The data could be stored in the phone and downloaded to a PC via an infrared connection.”
CONFIRMATION • Accept “friend” request through email • System registers this • When the necklaces are in close range the phone recognises the phone that is connected to a friends’ necklace (Bluetooth) • RFID possibly to recognise individual RFID of “friend” (a few feet at most = passive tag) (semi – passive = more than passive tag) ( longer distance = active tag)
GPS TRACKING • Direct from phone • Location sent regularly to computer at home • Computer sends info to Arduino in light through wi-fi
