  5. We are going to POLL pupils on the ‘name’ to be given to these 4 dynamic learners of Ai Tong.

  6. 爱 博爱 “博爱”的意思是普遍地爱所有的人。 The word also describes a strong passion for things. When someone enjoys pursuing something a lot, the word ‘love’ is usually used to describe the passion.

  8. 同 大同 “大同”是指人人平等、自由的社会景象。 The word goes hand-in-hand with a person who wants to do good for society, to build a better life for the less fortunate.

  12. 诚 以诚待人 “诚”的意思是以诚待人。 A person with sincerity seeks to help others. He/she cares for others’ feelings and does not want say things that hurt the feelings, race, or religion of other people.

  13. People who possess the quality Mahatma Gandhi – he fought for India’s independence against the British. He stood up for justice and was sincere towards people of all race and religion.

  14. 毅 以毅处事 “毅”的意思是以毅处事。 A person with perseverance wants to do the right thing. He/she does not give up easily on what he wants to do even if it is a difficult task or challenge.

Do You Know? • This year, ATS celebrates 100th Anniversary of school building since 1912. • The theme for this significant occasion is : Centennial Excellence, Inspiring Our Future • as depicted in the official logo • We will be launching the school vision in conjunction with the celebration. • A series of activities have started since last year for example, the call for • mascot designs from pupils and now the polling of the names. • We are also preparing our very own concert production which will be opened • at Kallang Theatre on 29 June.
