Angie Markham • YOS
Plan of Action • What was planned and why
Plan of Action • What has happened (so far)
Plan of Action • What has been learned (so far)
What We Planned • SYeLP funding • young people on ISSP • 10 week course – a day a week • iMedia - missionmaker
What We Planned • YOS staff • university students • immersive trainer • not like a school
What has happened (so far) 1 10 Week course with 4 young people gaining ASDAN 2 unit awards. 210 Week course with 2 young people gained ASDAN 2 unit award. 3 5 day session 5 young people gained ASDAN 1 unit award.
What has happened (so far) The session was quite interesting it is quite easy once you get used to it I enjoyed making the pick up triggers and using the active prop I disliked the door triggers and the complete shutting down of the software. Next week I want to make different rooms with different textures. I went on games and wrote down what the graphics were like. I also looked at engagement, excitement and how easy they were to get into.
Learned - positives • effective change • found a good formula • the formula is easily implemented • kids turned up and were into it • they like audio blogging • they have produced good stuff
Learned (so far) - issues • they didn’t like blogging, written or video • they are impatient • they need 1-1 • how to sustain?
