Traditional approach - steps involved: • Identify problem/question • Search the literature for ‘best’ standard of care • Create data table – pull random charts – extract data of interest • Descriptive statistics –> frequencies (%)
Cont’d • Discuss findings with HCP team • Brainstorm suggested improvement(s) • Implement improvement • After time interval, repeat data gathering and frequencies – determine if improvement?
