  2. Ergonomics (1) Course Lecturer : Dr : amirafawzyalmaz Course assistant : Eng. Shimaa Mohamed Elshabacy Lecture (8:30-9:20) Tutorial ( 9:30-11:20 ) Location ( F 415 ) Office hours: Saturday ( 4:30 – 6:30 )

Course Objectives: • -Comprehending the basic concepts of the process of design and the program of interior design with some of the basic techniques required for providing solutions to interior design problems. • - Analyzing emerging ideas in the field of interior design through the study of a simple spatial design reflecting the relationship between function and spatial shell through the anthropometric study of the relationships between spatial measures, human body measures and the product of furnishing.

  4. Course Description: • -Knowing the meaning of ergonomics and its importance in interior design • -Identifying the human scale standards • -Identifying the relationship between human scale measurements and the furniture units measurements • - Identifying the furniture used in residential spaces • -Studying the different dimensions of furniture throuh its drawings (plans / elevations / side views )

  5. Way of evaluation • The course grade is 100 in total in a final evaluation committee with three examiners • Attendance: (5) • Presentation: (25) • Mid-term exam (A daily project): (10) • Final exam: (60) • Total = 100
