  2. Survival status • The little spotted cat is threatened with extinction due to hunting for its fur . It is protected in several countries ,but in others hunting is still allowed their numbers suffer due to fur change.

  3. Anatomy and appearance • The little spotted cat is 4 to 8 lbs. on average . The little spotted cat is 25.5 inches long. Their fur is typically tan and has black rings on its tail and black blotchy spots , the ears have a white spots and have pale colors on the face.

  4. Diet • The little spotted cat is a carnivore it eats small rodents such as, birds, insects, and reptiles. The little spotted cat is nocturnal so it eats at night.

  5. Habitat • The little spotted cat usually is found in South America it lives in Brazil, and Rain forest.

  6. Life Cycle • The little spotted cat lives in the wild. Its life span is usually 11-15 years (in the wild). When the little spotted cat is in captivity it lives 15-20 years.

  7. Reproduction and Young • The female doesn’t have its litter until 74-78 days (gestation period). Its usually 1 or 2 kittens, the kittens open their eyes 2 weeks after birth, the kittens become mature enough after 2 years. The mother is the one to care for the offspring. The kittens leave after 2 years.

  8. Behavior • The little spotted cat is nocturnal, the little spotted cat is said to be a good swimmer.

  9. Predators/Enemies • The little spotted cat probably has more than one predator but the only one that I found was humans the humans hunt it for its fur that’s why the little spotted cats population isn't doing so well.

  10. Defense Mechanisms • The little spotted cat hides in trees, and climbs trees, it will also jump from predators.

  11. Threats • The reason the little spotted cat population decreasing because of hunting and the usage of its fur.

  12. Conservation • Several countries are trying to protect this wonderful animal by law
