One Big Lesson for me Plagiarism is a complex issue It’s about learning We can do something about it … but only if we take a learning-based, collaborative, holistic approach. ….. but people want to treat it as simplistic. …. but people use many different ‘lenses’ to characterise it …. but our efforts are often not recognised ….. institutional change is tough!

  3. Lessons which surprised me Policies do matter Procedures matter deep knowledge & ‘The Big Picture’– then work at the right level Data is your best friend for making changes happen

Discovery: teachers on their own cannot do it telling is not enough • programme-level approach • targeting specific groups for additional support, additional teaching • Some educationally mobile students writing in English probably need very targeted help, early and often. • Early diagnostics and referral (‘You need help…. you might….. you probably don’t’)
