  3. Iwo Jima • This picture was taken during World War II. • It was taken in Iwo Jima in February of 1945.

  4. Return From War • This was a picture of the return from the war. • This happened on August 14, 1945. • The men that returned from the war kissed the first women that they saw.

  5. Baseball • On the right is Hank Greenberg. He played for the Detroit Tigers. • The Red Sox player are Ted Williams and Eddie Pellagrini. • They are posing with JFK in April of 1946

  6. Television • This picture was taken in the 1950s, it was the arrival of the new, larger televisions, up from the original three inch screens.

  7. Marilyn Monroe • This is Marilyn Monroe, she was an actress, and a model. • Unfortunately she died of an over dose of sleeping pills.
