Short term instructional goals Knowledge acquisition, higher order thinking and integration Learners have to make sense of a significant amount of new information Can be completed from one to three class periods Long term instructional goals Extend and refine knowledge through a higher order thinking process over a period of time Learners analyze and transform the body of knowledge into their own way of understanding, then have to demonstrate their understanding in some forms Can be completed from one week to a month Two Types of WebQuest
